What do you need for vegan chickpea curry recipe ?
Let`s take a closer look at the ingredients you need for this delicious recipe:
Chickpeas: Chickpeas, which are high in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, may help with digestion and weight management. Chickpeas are very high in protein and can be used as a meat substitute in vegetarian and vegan diets. Besides that, chickpeas, both canned and dry, have a low glycemic index. This means they are absorbed and digested slowly by your body.
They also include amylose, a slow-digesting kind of starch. Both of these items prevent your blood sugar and insulin levels from rising too quickly. This is beneficial for diabetics.
Carrots: Carrots include a variety of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, including vitamins B6 and K, potassium, phosphorus, and others, all of which contribute to bone health, a stronger nerve system, and improved mental performance. Aside from protecting the body from free radical damage, antioxidants also protect it from dangerous germs, viruses, and inflammation.
Onion: Vitamin C, B vitamins, and potassium are all found in onions. Onions are good for people who are seeking to lower their blood pressure since they contain potassium. Onions have antibacterial qualities as well.
Spices: For the health benefits of spices, check out my Vegan Lentil Curry recipe.
