To prepare the liquid, add an equal amount of water and vinegar according to the ratio of the marinade you will make, and add sugar at a quarter of the salt. If you are looking for a different taste, you can also add black pepper or mustard seeds.
You can use different types of vinegar in your pickles according to your taste. Apple cider vinegar and grape cider vinegar are the two types of vinegar that are most suitable for pickles. You can prepare pickled cucumbers, but you can also turn to innovative types such as pickled mushrooms.
An easy pickle recipe that you can prepare with any vegetable you prefer:
Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups
-2 cups apple cider vinegar
-1/2 cup sugar
-2 tablespoons kosher salt
-1 tablespoon black peppercorns
-1 tablespoon mustard seeds
-10 medium cucumbers (about 1 1/2 pounds), peeled, quartered, sliced crosswise into 3-inch segments (If you want the recipe, you can also prepare it by adding carrots, cauliflower, eggplant, cabbage, mushrooms, broccoli and, other vegetables you like.)
Step one, bring vinegar, sugar, salt, peppercorns, mustard seeds, and 2 cups water to a boil in a medium pot over high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes. Step two, place carrots in a heatproof resealable container or jar. Pour hot brining liquid over carrots. Let cool to room temperature, then cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving.
